consultation for students, families, educators and IEEs

At times, the world of Special Education is fraught with many ambiguities. Confronting the complexities of learning differences can leave students, educators and families overwhelmed at best. I offer support with understanding students' specific learning needs as pertaining to the educational environment, social interactions, mental health and their overall educational outcomes.

Topics of consultation can include:

  • Academic implications of learning potential and cognitive profile

  • Impact of mental health challenges on learning

  • Impact of executive functions profile on learning and scholastic skills

  • Impact of social skills challenges on educational experience

  • Understanding the IEP/Section 504 documents

  • Understanding the continuum of support available

  • Facilitation of effective communication between all parties

Oftentimes, these services are provided in the form of therapeutic sessions with students who are seeking a better understanding of their academic challenges, and development of effective coping/learning strategies.

Where parents are seeking an independent assessment of their student's needs, we offer Independent Educational Evaluations.

Let's talk! The first consultation is free.
